Erika Niva

Always having a love of art, I continuously learned all the way through highschool and into university, where I majored in ceramics during my four years in the Fine Arts program at Lakehead. Since university I have been doing as much as possible within the arts community of Thunder Bay - I’ve worked as a kiln technician at local businesses; taught ceramic lessons involving throwing and hand-building; I’ve been part of multiple markets and sales each year; and even done some demonstrations of my art at public events.

Currently I am learning the tradition of wood firing with local artisan Fritz Lehmberg and his kiln.
